FREEDOM FROM OVEREATING

I am getting ready to enjoy a 4th of July celebration and I am going to a pool party and barbeque.  And yes, I am going to wear my bikini.  How about you?

Bathing suit?!

Are you thinking “oh my God, not me!”?

There was a time when I would not even go to a pool party because I was so ashamed of the way I looked.

I was listening to a beautiful rendition of our “Star spangled banner” and listened to the words “land of the free and home of the brave” and it reminded me of a time when I didn’t feel free or brave about my body.

Sometimes you feel like you will never be able to achieve permanent weight loss.

There are always triggers that make you want to overeat.

You can write yourself a permission slip just like your parents used to give you to go on a class trip.  You can write something like:

“I give myself permission to enjoy this holiday and accept myself just as I am today.”

You can feel comfortable in your own skin.

You can have peace with your body and food!
